I would be lying if I didn't admit that I bought this shirt (thrift find), because it reminded me of the floral shirts that Robert Smith wore in the very early 90s. I think everyone from The Cult to The Mission were wearing floral fashions at that time.
This outfit is the same idea as last Thursday's work outfit, I think Thursday unofficial 'pants day'.
I'm wearing floral button-up shirt with oversized cardigan (both thrift), trousers (H&M), shoes (Shoe Cult by Nasty Gal). Earrings and brooch (thrift) and necklace from Siren, old and now defunct goth store in Toronto, ON.
Lipstick color is garnet by NYC Cosmetics (gift from a friend)
Do you like florals?
Thank you for reading!
XOXO-Meagan Kyla
the jewels are very nice!
ReplyDeleteThank you! :)
DeleteOH MY GAWD. Meagan, I owned that shirt in the early 90s. I'm not even kidding. Oy ... I feel old.
ReplyDeleteHa! You're not old my dear! It was the 90s, we all wore floral print ;)
DeleteYeah, but I was in college!!! *shudder*
DeletePersonally, I only really like William Morris-esque florals but I think this one does look pretty epic on you! I think the red and black is what makes it still nice, despite the huge flowers! If it was fluoro then there might be a problem! :P
ReplyDeleteJust bought some floral tights :) I love floral!
ReplyDeleteOhhh, floral tights! Pretty legs :)
DeleteI love these shirts with weird patterns (and preferably shoulder pads!), young Robert Smith sure is an inspiration to follow (I'm no exception, still looking for a white leopard shirt like the one he wore in 'Charlotte sometimes' video) :D But your brooch and necklace are totally to die for, so pretty.
ReplyDeleteI love weird patterns as well! =D I know exactly what shirt you are talking about ("Charlotte Sometimes" is my favorite song), I found a yellow and black one that was very similar, but I tend to shy away from yellow unless it's a leopard print ;) PS-I love your style!
DeleteGreat outfit!
ReplyDeleteI really like florals in combination with macabre jewelry. I like the contrast of it!
Ohhhh, I like that description! Sounds lovely :)
DeleteFlora is always in, for me huge poppies are the best and that shirt is amazing!!
ReplyDeleteThank you!!! :)
DeleteOhhh! I love that shirt! The red is so gorgeous on you! I love florals! I just wrote up a new post on a floral print today ;)
ReplyDeleteI love a good floral print that has a lot of black in it!
ReplyDeleteAhhh I love how 90's you look <3 I love love love that outfit!!
ReplyDeleteMassively so!!! I often like to say that my closet looks more like a garden. I'm especially drawn to florals that are on dark backgrounds and/or star dark hues, as well as those straight out of my fave decades (40s and 50s).
ReplyDeleteReally charming outfit. You look so pretty!
