This day was one of those days that I had a dress planned, it didn't work out (which is now in the donation pile), so I had to come up with plan b. Since I was all bundled up in my under layers, I grabbed this bat skirt that has been featured here and here.
The wonderful thing about my project 'wear everything', is that I'm weeding out pieces that just don't work for me and in return I am able to grab pieces that do work. This is really helpful when outfit plans fail, especially when dressing for work.
I'm wearing a open front cardigan (H&M) with a long sleeve t-shirt (Target?), bat skirt (Sourpuss Clothing), fleece lined leggings, tall boots (Madden Girl) with vintage bow belt (from Julie Ann).
I'm also wearing some wool socks I got on sale, as all Winter stuff is being clearance out for Spring. Blargh! I know it's the one-season-ahead cycle of fashion, but I will never get used to it. Luckily thrift stores don't revolve around seasons too much.
Thank you for reading!

'Wear everything' sounds like a splendid idea, I'm buried beneath piles of clothing I haven't worn even once, haha. Love these bats, adorable skirt, I would probably also wear it during every wardrobe malfunction!
ReplyDeletelove the oufit, love the cameo!
ReplyDeleteI love your wear everything plan. It sounds like it's working well to weed the things that don't work anymore. I love seeing this skirt on you and the skeleton lady brooch is perfect with it! And speaking of the one-season ahead cycle of seasons.... I was at Target the other day and saw that all the winter coats have been replaced with bikinis! :O It froze my bones on the spot just looking at them!
ReplyDeleteGreat winter outfit idea!

That bat skirt really works with everything! Looks splendid!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a lovely outfit. Bat print or themed fashions (and really, just about anything) are a firm favourite of mine.
