Witch Cream

Here is one of our finds on our antiquing adventure on Monday. It's Witch Cream! Hahaha!
The bottle reads, "A delightful application for Chaps, Sunburn, Eczema and Wrinkles. SOFTENING, HEALING, BEAUTIFYING. It is quickly absorbed and at once cleanses, softens and nourishes the skin and keeps it fresh and healthy. There is nothing better to preserve and improve the complexion. Witch Cream is neither sticky nor greasy and contains no poison or mineral ingredient."

Well, thank goodness it doesn't have any poison in it!!! What do you think, would you use something called witch cream? I would, most definitely. Muahahaha!!!

In other thrifty news, the estate sale Derek and I went to on Saturday was a bust. It was exactly what I expected, full of rude people. The house was neat to go through and I loved the dark green bathroom fixtures and black and gold flocked wallpaper, though not ideal for a bathroom, still really cool looking.

Thank you for reading, until next time!

  1. It depends on what the ingredients are.

  2. Oooh what a wonderful find! I wouldn't be too sure about the no poison bit considering the ingredients they used to use! :P

  3. It looks like scary stuff! Sorry the estate sale was a bust. But what a fun find your Witch Cream is!

  4. I'd definitely give it a spin - then keep the bottle out on display all year round. What a terrific label.

Sorry that the estate sale was a bust for you guys. The tiny number that pop up around these parts still these days usually are, too - at least from a mid-century vintage perspective. Hopefully the next one you hit will bring some great finds your way.
