Casual Weekend : Decorating For Tiki-Mas!

I'm ready to battle the mall! Wearing a knit hat that my best friend's mom made for me.

It's officially December and that means decking the halls, sampling holiday cookies and shopping and/or gift making. Whatever your belief's (or not), I hope you enjoy your festivities!

Friday I went to the mall in the very early afternoon (I drop Derek off at work, head straight to the mall, get in and GET OUT) as I was on the hunt for a specific black dress. Yes, a goth needing a black dress...oh the humanity! I am looking for a short sleeve skater style dress that I can wear with everything. A dress that is plain, no lace, no sequins, no bells or whistles, basic, basic, basic. My budget was $30 and if I fell in love with the dress I would bump up my budget to $50, I walked out with nothing. Oh well.

Onto Tiki-Mas!!!

This year Derek and I decided to decorate the tree in hand made Polynesian Pop inspired ornaments, thus I dubbed this year Tiki-mas! Ice Bat even got a coconut bra and a grass skirt, he's such a saucy hula dancer *Wink*

Derek decked out the Tiki room with lights and garland, I took care of hanging our stockings and giving Mr. Bones a Santa hat. We're just waiting on a custom made tree skirt that our friend is making for us, Tiki-inspired of course.

And here's my decorating outfit, I'm wearing my new 'Boy George' hat with a button up shirt layered with this adorable rib cage sweater by Sourpuss Clothing, and a pair of bloomer-like shorts over black leggings. I'm also rocking my zebra print house slippers, they even match!

How do you like to decorate for holiday season? Check out what everyone else is doing with Professor Z's Gothidays theme!

Thanks for reading!

  2. I love it! But I dare not show these pix to my hubbi or he'll demand I change all our holiday decor to Tiki-Mas too, & I just don't have time to switch it this season ;-)

  7. I fell madly in love with your Tiki-mas!! Your christmas tree is adorable with the bat topper and Elvis in a golden frame <3
And Mr Bones in santa hat! I have a Mr Bones as well but he has his mouth open and it's almost impossible to shut it. He looks like his in an instant laugh.
