Adventures in Sewing: Contoured Burp Cloths

On Sunday I went to a baby shower for good friend's of ours and I made some contoured burp cloths! I was pretty excited to dive into my Halloween fabric stash and sew something fun for friend's who appreciate items that are on the 'spookier' side. I am also so thankful for my sewing table, it's amazing and makes me want to get back into sewing and attempt to make some garments from patterns (Eeeeeek, I hate following garment patterns!). My next project will be a pair of pajama pants for myself, I know it's silly as I'm not a complete novice sewer, but I've never made a pair before!

Are you working on any sewing and/or craft projects?

Thank you for reading, until next time!

  1. I wish I had burp cloths like that when my kid was that small. I just got boring generic ones. On the other hand, those burp cloths are sooo nice I would hate to have my kid spew up on them!

    1. I was thinking the same thing, but they are cotton and meant to be used (the other side is a towel) for spew. Hehe! I figured it would be a nice change from neutral colored baby items ;)

  3. Cute! Sewing makes me want to throw myself out of a window and therefore I have been avoiding it for quite some time even though I have a few projects I would like to do.

  4. I love sewing but I'm like you and hate following sewing patterns! They are so confusing! But for the big projects so necessary :( Love your burp cloths!
