Purple velvet boots, I think Prince would have approved.
This Wednesday we lost Prince. I was at work when Julie Ann told me, I was in shock. I am a big fan, have been since I was a small child and I have to say I'm devastated. Though it sounds ridiculous to feel "devastated", yet you may have felt this way when David Bowie and/or Lemmy died, Prince is another legend gone too soon.
When I would feel down, I would put on a Prince album and just dance. I did the same thing when MTV stopped regular programming (on Wednesday) and played Prince videos, I just danced. I felt like the young girl who was obsessed with MTV and music videos in the 80s/90s, the young girl who was entranced by artist's music videos like Prince. Sigh....
Rest in peace the Purple One, thank you for bringing joy to my world and teaching me that self expression is important and liberating.
Thank you for reading, until next time!
XOXO-Meagan Kyla
RIP, Prince.
ReplyDeleteI wasn´t a big fan of Prince, But I can understand how you feel and I still find it unfair, that all these talented people are passing away. This year is horrible. :(
ReplyDeleteBut on the bright side, your outfit is adorable, especially the bat sweater. :3
We have lost a lot of talent so far this year - it is very sad.
ReplyDeleteI love how those tights perfectly frame your thigh tattoos.
ReplyDeleteI agree, I think he would have approved of those boots.
ReplyDeleteLOVE your bat cardigan! ^V^ <3
ReplyDeleteIt's down right frightening how many incredible talents are departing this world (often decades too early) in 2016. Prince's passing really hit me not only for its own sake, but because he was the same age as my mom. Thankfully she's in very good health and I'm not worried about her in that sense, but still, the age thing shook me a bit for sure.
