Cocktail Friday : Singapore Sling
Picture of my dear husband and I (a few months ago), but that's the face I feel in love with. Hahaha!
Happy Friday everyone! This week's Cocktail Friday is inspired by the delicious drink I had at a local restaurant called Vera Pizzeria. I took Derek there for his 38th birthday and we dined on delicious pizza and Pre-Prohibition cocktails. The restaurant's barman make these concoctions using tradition techniques and fresh ingredients (you won't find sour mix in these drinks!) to make wonderful libations. Next time I would like to sit at the bar and watch all the magic happen! So, without further adieu, the Singapore Sling.....
This recipe is invented by Mr.Ngiam Tong Boon, bartender at the legendary Raffles Hotel in Singapore sometime around 1915.
Ingredients:
1 ml gin
1/2 ml Heering® cherry liqueur
4 ml pineapple juice
1/2 ml lime juice
1/4 ml Cointreau® orange liqueur
1/4 ml benedictine herbal liqueur
1 - 2 tsp grenadine syrup
1 dash Angostura® bitters Mix all in a shaker and pour in glass filled with ice. Garnish with a slice of pineapple and cherry.

Mmmmmm! I enjoyed this exact recipe at Vera Pizzeria and I LOVED it. Can't I have one for breakfast? Pretty please?! *Wink*

Shoes! OMG! : Jagger Boots
In honor of my husband's birthday today, I choose a pair of men's boots that I adore, the Jagger Boots by John Fluevog. Though my husband enjoys a nice pointed boot with a Cuban heel, I think these would be a little too 'rock n' roll' for his tastes, but I would wear them. *Wink*

Link Round-Up : Support Independent Designers and Stores
This week I wanted to share some of my favorite independent designers and stores that I love. Supporting the little guy is good for the soul and makes you sexier (in my honest opinion). *Wink*
+What a tangled web we weave, and I may need this dress from Sourpuss Clothing. Too cute!
+Post Apocalyptic fashion never looked so good!
+You will fall in love with Martha Rotten's designs. I'll take one of each please!
+I simply adore a good bustle!
+So many graphic options, so little time. Treat yourself ;)

Just Another Friday Night.....
Just another Friday night outing to a goth/industrial night. I particularly liked how I styled my hair, teased the mohawk up and back, I looked like I was going really fast. Haha! Of course, I look really thrilled in the bottom photo or am I trying to be spooky? Who knows! This outfit is a good example of how I like to wear animal prints to the club.
What I wore:
D.I.Y Vest-base of the vest is from Switchblade Stiletto (new-ebay $10)
Black lace ruched top-Charlotte Russe
Zebra Body Con skirt-Charlotte Russe
Leggings-Hot Topic (gift)
Pointy buckle booties-Amazon.com ($12!)
Various accessories-from various places (ebay, thrifting, gifts, etc)
I am wearing short boots to the club (which sucked to dance in) as my husband finished up my leg piece earlier in the week:
My sexy burlesque-a-mingo on my right leg. I do love pink flamingo's! *Wink*
