Happy Spring Equinox 2017!

Hello my dear friends! Happy Spring Equinox (a day late), I hope you are all doing well. I've been a busy bat over here with small house projects, work and traveling to New Jersey this past weekend for Nana Ruth's beautiful memorial service. It was great to see family on our whirlwind trip.

Though we were plagued with a snow storm last week, temperatures are rising and the snow is melting. This means I'm not freezing my bum off! Wooooo!!! I was able to wear less layers today and was actually too warm in my winter coat. Bonus! I hope we have nice weather this year, because I have so many things to look forward to in the next few months and beyond. Fun things include; RuPaul's Drag Race season premiere starts on Friday, going to see The Shady Tour in April which includes some of my favorite Drag Race Queens that will be performing. Months ago, Derek and I booked a trip to New Orleans in May and we will be visiting friends in Texas in October (Hello Lauren and Clint *waves*!) There is also talk about seeing Adam Ant in September, as well as visiting our favorite places in Cleveland, OH. Eeeeeeeee! So excited!

I hope you are all having a great start to the week! Take care!

80s Knit Dress

Since I've been amping up my thrift hunting, I've been finding a few treasure to add to my own personal closet, like this 80s button-up knit dress. Warm, cozy, has pockets AND shoulder pads. Hehehe! I've given myself a sort of a light "challenge" to only purchase second hand clothing and stay away from tempting online shopping (unless it's eBay or etsy). I tend to prefer to buy things second hand and thrift, but have been more conscious of it and thus keeping my money in my wallet rather than impulse shopping.

Well my friends, I've been battling terrible sinusitis and I'll be happy when I look normal enough to perhaps photograph some more of my recent thrift finds. I hope you all have a happy and healthy weekend!

Thank you for reading, until next time!

So Many (Halloween) Kitties

Hello friends! I forgot that I had snapped these photos last week (or the week before?) of my matchy-matchy Halloween cat sweater and leggings. I snatched up the leggings a few years ago when Sourpuss Clothing when the Halloween cat first started to appear. (You can see me being matchy matchy when we visited Salem, MA)

Wearing; LucyFur sweater and leggings (Sourpuss Clothing), skirt (DIY'ed from a dress), silver necklaces (thrift), boots (Madden Girl via 6pm.com)

Putting this outfit together was one was as simple as walking into my closet, looking at my leggings folded on the shelf, then scanning my folded sweaters and Voila! An outfit was born. Side note-we've been working on our closet room as our previous set up was not working to the room's full potential.

I hope everyone enjoy's their day and I always appreciate you visiting my little piece of the internet!
